At innocent, we’ve always been about helping people live well and die old. That’s why making healthy drinks full of good stuff has been our mission since day one. That, and attempting to wear our dressing gowns to work. At least we succeeded at the healthy little drinks thing.
Most people should be eating more fruit and veg. FACT. Even if you’re scoffing celery, mainlining marrows and gobbling all sorts of different greens, you still might struggle to hit your five-a-day. Our smoothies and juices are a great, tasty way to change that because they’re 1 of your 5-a-day and, yeah you guessed it, very tasty. So far, we’ve served over 10 billion portions of fruit and veg through our little drinks (and counting). That’s a lot of fruit and veg. A shedload, in fact (if you own the world’s biggest shed).
We’re very proud to be partnering with The Felix Project , a food redistribution waste charity set up in 2016 to make sure no-one goes hungry and good food never gets wasted. We’re helping The Felix Project bring 1 million meals, packed with fruit & veg, to those who need them. Here’s a little bit more information about the Felix Project and all the brilliant work they do:
Founded in 2016, The Felix Project was set up to tackle two growing issues; the 3 million tonnes of good, edible surplus food wasted each year from the food industry and the 1.5 million adults and 400,000 children in London who struggle to afford healthy, nutritious meals every day. As London's largest food redistribution charity, The Felix Project rescues good food that cannot be sold and delivers it direct to charities and schools serving people in need. Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.

We never want our drinks to go to waste, so we give 100% of our spare stock to charities, food banks and people who could really do with them. Since we started, we have given over 30 million drinks to people who need them. That’s over 12 million litres. That’s enough to fill 12 million litre jugs. Or something more interesting like a load of swimming pools but we can’t be bothered to do the maths.
It was more important than ever to re-route our drinks during the Covid pandemic, and we were proud to send over 1.5 million drinks, spread across hospitals, charities, foodbanks making sure we got healthy drinks in the hands of key workers (aka heroes).
If you’re an organisation or charity who are keen to get your hands on our little drinks, find out how you can at our partner website Neighbourly.
We know cooking with fruit & veg can sometimes be a bit of a chore (watery spinach, anyone?) and we want to help take it to new tasty levels with a few simple recipes. We’ve teamed up with the Felix Project on some nutritious recipes that are packed with the good stuff and won’t make you want to have a packet of crisps afterwards. Ever tried barbecuing a Brussels sprout? You’ve been missing out.
Oh, who put this here? Well, since you ask, our little drinks are one way you can enjoy tasty fruit and veg as we find just that and pop it in our drinks. No artificial sweeteners, no preservatives and definitely no other nonsense in there at all. We’ve never added sugar to our drinks and we never will. The only sugar you’ll find in our juices and smoothies is the natural stuff that comes in fruit and veg.
Smoothies and juices are an easy way to help you get your 5-a-day, which is pretty handy since two thirds of us in the UK aren't managing to do just that. If we all did hit the magic number, it's said we could prevent almost half the estimated 33,000 premature deaths that come from diet-related diseases each year. Pretty good reason to get those sprouts on the barbecue.
You only need one 150ml glass of an innocent juice or smoothie to hit one of your 5-a-day. That’s a lot easier than downing a pint (not that we would know). For the other four, try any fruit or veg that's fresh, frozen, dried or canned. Nature has very kindly given us a whole rainbow of fruit and veg to choose from, so it's only polite to try as many of them as we can. Whether you prefer to eat or drink your fruit & veg, we fully support your life choices.
