At innocent, we are passionate champions for fruit and veg. We believe that access to nutritious and healthy food is a fundamental human need. However, two-thirds of the UK population still aren’t consuming enough fruit and veg. We’re on a mission to change that. Beyond our juices and smoothies, we’re committed to finding new ways to help people incorporate more fruit and veg into their diets. This is why we’ve partnered with the Alexandra Rose Charity. Founded in 1912, Alexandra Rose Charity has a long history of supporting people experiencing poverty in the UK. Their mission is to give families on low incomes access to fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities through the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project. This project gives families the spending power to buy and eat the fruit and veg of their choice. Since 2023, we’ve been working together to provide more portions of fruit and veg to those in need.

Alexandra Rose Charity helps families on low incomes access fresh fruit and veg in their local communities through their Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg Project. Last year, they also launched ‘Fruit & Veg on Prescription’ – a pilot project working with people on low incomes at risk of food-related health issues like high blood pressure, diabetes, and mental health conditions.

how do the Rose Vouchers work?

Since 2014, the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project has supported over 10,500 families to access fresh fruit and veg. The project is in eight areas across the UK, from London to Glasgow. A whopping 64% of children now eat at least five portions a day, up from 7% when they joined the project.

For every innocent mango and passion fruit or strawberry and banana 250ml smoothie sold in participating Co-op UK stores, from 30th Oct to 19th Nov ’24, innocent will donate 24p towards the cost of a portion (80g) of fruit and veg to Alexandra Rose Charity to help support families on low incomes buy and eat fruit and veg.
